Limited chances
The forward could now make his NEC debut against third-placed Heerenveen at his new club’s Goffert stadium on Sunday. De Nooijer has not played regularly for Heerenveen since the arrival of Sweden's Marcus Allbäck at the start of last season.

No win in four games
The 32-year-old spent part of last season on loan at former club Sparta Rotterdam and recently had a trial with MSV Duisburg in Germany. NEC are eleventh in the table and have not won in four matches.
