Hertha BSC Berlin confirmed on Saturday that a decision on whether coach Jürgen Röber steps down will be made in the next few days.
Talks imminent
Hertha spokesman Hans-Georg Felder said Röber, who has hinted he might quit before his contract expires at the end of the season, will meet commercial manager Dieter Hoeness to talk about his future. "There will be a decision before Christmas," he said.
Deisler move
Röber, who has coached Hertha for six years, said the club could not keep improving as fast as he wished, especially after losing promising Germany midfield player Sebastian Deisler, who will play for FC Bayern München next season.
UEFA Cup defeat
The Berlin outfit were eliminated from the UEFA Cup after losing the home leg of their third-round tie 3-0 to Servette FC after a goalless first match in Switzerland.
