Dusan Radolsky has been appointed the new coach of Czech first division club 1. FC Synot.
Coach sacked
Radolsky, along with assistant Radec Rabusic, has signed until June 2003 to replace sacked coach Frantisek Mikulicka. Synot lost five of their last six games before the winter break and are fourth from bottom, just three points above the drop zone.
Strikers needed
"We will try to make some changes in the squad list at Synot," said Radolsky. "We need, most of all, a couple of strikers after Vladimir Malar and Lubomir Blaha were sold to Sparta recently."
Discipline needed
The 51-year-old also wants to improve the club’s overall fitness level. "I do not want my team to play at this end of the table," he added. "The team is good enough to stay in the top flight. I am looking for good discipline from my players - during games, in the dressing room and out of it as well. It is not possible to play good football without discipline.
Physical preparation
"I like a modern style of football but it is up to the players to put the effort in if they want to play this way," Radolsky added. "We must work hard on our physical preparation because it is not possible to play modern football without it."
