FC Shakhtar Donetsk have signed Romanian Under-21 international Sorin Ghionea from Divizia A side CS Otelul Galati.

The move was agreed on Thursday after talks between Otelul's vice-president Mihai Stoica and Shakhtar representative Vladimir Poskin. The 21-year-old joins fellow Romanians Marian Aliuta and Daniel Florea at the team lying second in the Ukrainian Premier League, behind FC Dynamo Kyiv.
