NAC Breda moved up to third place in the Eredivisie with a 3-2 win against struggling SC Fortuna Sittard on Friday.

Sucker punch
With Sittard pushing forward to try and find a winning goal, they were hit by a sucker punch with four minutes remaining. Substitute Youssouf Hersi laid the ball off for Tamás Petö who ended Sittard’s hope of securing only their third win in the Eredivisie this season.

Early collapse
NAC looked destined for an easy victory in the first half and Sittard’s caretaker-coach Hans de Koning - who took over from the sacked Hans Verel on Thursday - watched his side crumble in the opening stages of the game on his first day in charge of the club. Kevin Bobson put NAC ahead in the 14th minute, turning in a cross from Alfred Schreuder and Sergio was the beneficiary of smart Bobson play as he finished off his strike partner's pass five minutes later.

Brave comeback
However, Sittard fought back bravely and can feel disappointed not to have earned at least a share of the points. After Ronald Hamming was felled inside the area, Joost Volmer’s 32nd-minute penalty gave Sittard some hope, and after 55 minutes they were level when Hamming drove Rolf Landerl's left-wing cross past Gábor Babos from 12 yards.
