Liverpool FC's FA Premiership title challenge faltered once more as they lost 2-1 at home to Arsenal FC on Sunday.
Henry on target
Goals from Thierry Henry and Fredrik Ljungberg ended Arsenal's five-year Anfield stadium hoodoo, even though the visitors had to play most of the match with ten men after Giovanni van Bronckhorst was sent off. Henry opened the scoring from the penalty spot in first-half injury time before Ljungberg grabbed a second from close range. Jari Litmanen did pull a goal back for Liverpool but Arsenal hung on to claim the three points.
Stylish Chelsea
In Sunday's other match, Chelsea FC were too hot for visiting Bolton Wanderers FC and eventually won the match 5-1 at Stamford Bridge stadium. Bolton took the lead through Kevin Nolan but goals from Eidur Gudjohnsen, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Boudewijn Zenden, Frank Lampard and a Colin Hendry own goal secured the points for Chelsea.
