NK Primorje go into the winter break on top in the Slovenian first division despite being held at home by NK Šmartno in the 1. SNL on Saturday.
Alibasic saves Šmartno
Primorje looked to be heading for their 13th win in 20 matches when Matej Mlakar latched on to Marko Vogric's pass and scored in the 73rd minute. But fifth-placed Šmartno salvaged a point through Nedzad Alibasic's goal just three minutes later.
Koper beaten
The leaders have been the dominant team in the first half of the season but could have dropped down to second going into the break had they lost and NK Koper won. As it was Koper fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against NK Korotan courtesy of Sergej Jakirovic's 38th-minute penalty.
Maribor close gap
NK Maribor took advantage of Koper's slip up to move to within a point of overhauling them in third place with a 2-0 home win over NK Publikum. Barnabas Sztipanovics put the home side ahead after 35 minutes when he latched on to Suad Filekovic's pass. Stipe Balajic doubled the lead three minutes after the hour mark after he pounced on to a rebound following Sztipanovics initial shot.
Zlogar scores
NK Olimpija Ljubljana are level on points with Maribor in fourth place after Anton Zlogar secured all three points against NK Mura with the only goal of the game in the 62nd minute. Zlogar sprung the visitors' offside trap before rounding the keeper to score.
Domzale win
At the bottom of the league NK Domzale remain rooted to the foot of the table despite earning only their second win of the season at home to second-from-bottom NK Zivila Triglav. Milan Boskovic's 16th-minute strike was enough to earn all three points for the hosts, who are now four points behind Zivila.
Rudar beaten at home
In Saturday's other match NK Rudar Velenje went down in a 2-0 home defeat against NK Gorica with the goals coming from Jaka Sabec (13) and Ismet Ekmecic (64).
