Linderoth completed the formalities of the transfer from the Norwegian club on Thursday and will be included in the Merseyside club's squad for Saturday's FA Premiership match against Ipswich Town FC.
Established international
Everton manager Walter Smith told the club's official website: "He has 17 caps for Sweden, who are playing very well and have qualified for the [FIFA] World Cup, and he has been solid and done well for them."
Swedish contingent
Linderoth, who had also attracted interest from Panathinaikos FC, said: "I am delighted the deal has gone through, Everton seems like a great club and there are a lot of Swedes here now." The 22-year-old, who joined Stabaek in 1999 from Swedish club IF Elfsborg, teams up with fellow countrymen Niclas Alexandersson and Jesper Blomqvist at Everton.
