Stefan Schmidt has agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Aalborg BK.

Lyngby bankrupt
The midfielder had been looking for a new team since his former club, Lyngby FC, were declared bankrupt last month. "It's not a bad place to be," Schmidt said. "The pay is better than in Lyngby, and the club will also help me find an apartment in Aalborg. It's all up to me now, because I've got a place in the centre of midfield, which is what I've always wanted."

Andersen return
Meanwhile, Aalborg have re-signed former Denmark international Erik Bo Andersen. The 31-year-old, who left AaB in 1995 when he joined Rangers FC, bought out his contract with Norwegian side Odds BK in order to secure a move to his former employers.

Happy with return
Andersen has not played since falling out with Odd several months ago, but he is looking forward to kicking a football once again. "I'm happy that an agreement is now in place and that I can concentrate on getting back on the football field," he told the club's official website. "I can't think of a better place to show myself than in Aalborg where I've had some of my best experiences on the pitch."
