Turkish club Antalyaspor have appointed Giray Bulak as their new coach, after Riza Çalimbay rejected an offer to take charge at the club.
Pre-contract agreement
Riza had made a pre-contract agreement with Antalyaspor but had a last-minute change of heart. New coach Giray has signed a six-month contract with the possibility of an extension at the end of the current season.
Transfer targets
"I believe very much in Antalyaspor, we will solve our problems, mostly financial, or I will leave," Giray said in a press conference on Wednesday. The new coach also announced that he would bring reinforcements to the club, although he did not specify the names of any transfer targets.
Previous spells
Giray was a famous Trabzonspor player in the late 1970s and early 80s and has previously had coaching spells at Vanspor, Sakaryaspor and Trabzonspor, although he has not coached a club for nearly two years. Antalyaspor lie 15th in the 18-team Turkish 1. Lig.
