Turned down Antalyaspor
Earlier this week Calimbay, who left Göztepe in September, turned down an approach from Antalyaspor. Denizlispor were left caochless when Ozberk resigned following the board's refusal to sanction the transfer of Hasan Özer and Mert Korkmaz from Gaziantepspor, saying they were too expensive.
Training camp
"Denizlispor are a team I know very well," Calimbay said at a press conference. "We will try to finish the season in a comfortable place in the standings. The squad is strong enough, but we may need at least two more players in the near future to replace our injured and suspended players. We're moving to Antalya for our winter training camp, there we will offer trials to a few players."
Dismissed by Göztepe
Çalimbay started this season at Göztepe but was dismissed after a 5-1 defeat against Besiktas JK.
