Article body
Gjore Jovanovski is returning to F.Y.R. Macedonian champions FK Sloga Jugomagnat after quitting as national team coach, club officials said on Tuesday.
Formal appointment to follow
"We expect Jovanovski to join the squad at their camp in Antalya in Turkey on Friday," said Sloga general secretary Ramadan Topojani. "He will be formally appointed on Monday when his deal with the Macedonia Football Union expires."
Maglajlija resignation
Jovanovski will replace Bosnia-Herzegovnian coach Ekrem Maglajlija. "Maglajalija left the club at the beginning of December and said that he was going on vacation in Canada, where his family are staying," Topojani said. "But he has now informed us that he is not coming back due to private matters and he has decided to resign."
Jovanovski CV
Jovanovski is currently in Bahrain where Macedonia are taking part in a tournament with Albania and Finland. It will be his second spell at Sloga having won the Macedonian title three times in a row in his previous spell. He left Sloga to become Macedonia manager last May but quit on 26 December after the country failed to qualify for the 2002 FIFA World Cup finals in Korea/Japan.
