The 29-year-old has agreed a contract with the German 1. Bundesliga side which will keep him in Gelsenkirchen until June 2005. Hajto joined Schalke from MSV Duisburg in the summer of 2000 and became an instant success, appearing in 62 of the club’s subsequent 66 matches.
