FC Rapid Bucuresti have agreed a loan deal for Valencia CF's Romanian midfield player Dennis Serban until the end of the season, according to Rapid vice-president Constantin Zotta.
Rising star
The 26-year-old was considered one of Romania's rising stars before his move to Valencia in 1999, having played 107 games and scored 21 goals for FC Farul Constanta and Steaua Bucuresti. Yet he never gained a regular first-team place with the Spanish club and was loaned out to Villarreal CF and Elche CF in 2000.
Time to improve
"The most important thing for me is having the chance to play," said Serban, who has played 13 times for Romania. "In order to get back into the national team, I have to play better." Serban is contracted to Valencia until the summer of 2003 with Rapid having an option to buy him at the end of the loan spell.
