Besiktas land Brazilian Marinho

Besiktas JK have signed defender Marinho from Brazilian club Grêmio Football Porto Alegrense for an undisclosed fee. 

'Big club'
The 25-year-old Brazilian has agreed an 18-month contract with the Turkish 1. Lig club, where he will link up with compatriot Ronaldo Guiaro. Marinho said: "I realise that I have come to a big club. I will try to do my best to bring success to the club."
 
'World-class player'
Besiktas would not reveal the size of the transfer fee, but director Ibrahim Altinsay said: "Marinho is one of the best Brazilian players. He will become a world-class player in Besiktas. I am very happy that we could add a quality player like Marinho to our squad." The former Guarani FC player is expected to feature against Diyarbakirspor on 3 February.
