Article body
Chelsea FC winger Boudewijn Zenden faces at least six weeks on the sidelines after picking up an injury in Wednesday's 5-1 defeat by Tottenham Hotspur FC in the English League Cup.
Hospital tackle
The Dutch international spent the night in hospital with a gashed right thigh and pulled muscle after a challenge by Spurs captain Teddy Sheringham. Zenden had to be substituted nine minutes into his team's semi-final second-leg thrashing and could be out until the start of March.
Grønkjær's chance
The 25-year-old, a €12million signing from FC Barcelona in August 2001, had just returned to first-team action after a knee injury. His bad luck may offer Jesper Grønkjær the chance of a senior recall. The Danish international is on the comeback trail following ankle surgery in October.
