Members

Lorenzo Amoruso earned Rangers FC a 1-0 win away at Aberdeen FC but crowd trouble marred the game.

A stunning first-half goal from Lorenzo Amoruso earned Rangers FC a 1-0 win away at Aberdeen FC, but the game was held up for 17 minutes because of crowd trouble.

Player hit by missile
Aberdeen's Robbie Winters was hit by a missile and the referee took the players off the pitch midway through the opening period. Both clubs could now face a points deduction for the behaviour of a minority of their supporters.

Celtic fightback
Meanwhile Celtic FC continued their march towards a second successive Scottish title with a 2-1 win against Saint Johnstone FC on Saturday. Goals from Alan Thompson and Swedish international Henrik Larsson earned Celtic the points against the Scottish Premier League’s bottom club, although there was a brief scare for the home side when Darren Dods gave the struggling Perth side the lead inside three minutes.

Livingston back on song
Third-placed Livingston FC were 2-0 winners against Heart of Midlothian FC at Almondvale. Philippe Brinquin was the hero for the home side, providing the passes that set up David Bingham and David Fernandez to score in the 54th and 66th minutes. Hearts had little chance of hitting back having had defender Alan Maybury sent off for a first-half challenge on Fernandez, although substitute Stephen Simmons missed a late penalty for the Edinburgh side.

Hibernian slip up
Hearts' capital city rivals Hibernian FC had a frustrating afternoon at home to Kilmarnock FC as they let a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2. Eduardo Hurtado had given Hibernian an early lead before an own-goal from James Fowler put them in full control. However, a spectacular volley from Tommy Johnston put the visitors back into the game on 65 minutes, and substitute Kris Boyd struck in the final minute to level the scores.

United win Tayside derby
A last-minute goal from Jim McIntyre saw Dundee United FC beat Dundee FC 1-0 in the Tayside derby, while Dunfermline Athletic FC eased to a 3-1 win over Motherwell FC. Andrius Skerla, Gary Mason and Lee Bullen put Dunfermline in control, but a late consolation goal from James McFadden ended a run of five games without conceding a goal for the home side.
