Hapoel Haifa have now gone eight games without a win in the Israeli Premier League after losing 2-0 to FC Ashdod on Friday.
Good work
The hosts took the lead after 36 minutes when Alon Hazan fired the ball into the net from 20 yards out, following good work down the left wing from Daviv Revivo. Hazan then missed a perfect chance to score his second after Hai Ben Lulu was sent off for a challenge in the penalty area.
Penalty missed
Hazan missed the resulting penalty but two minutes into injury time Hanan Fadida converted Hazan’s cross from close range. Ashdod are up to fifth in the table while Haifa stay in eighth place.
