Mikkel Beck will join Aalborg BK on loan from French side Lille OSC.
Exciting reunion
"For Aalborg this is a very exciting reunion since Mikkel was in outstanding form the last time we had him on loan," said Aalborg sports director Lynge Jacobsen. "His brilliant performances in the Aalborg shirt saw him return to the Danish national team and earned him a contract with LOSC. Of course we hope that Mikkel can repeat this success which will be not only a huge boost for us but also for himself."
No French success
Beck was struggling to make an impact at Derby County FC when he was loaned to Aalborg in March 2000. He subsequently earned himself a place in Bo Johansson's Denmark squad for EURO 2000™ by scoring ten goals in eleven matches for the Danish side. Although Beck failed to make an appearance in the Low Countries he still managed to secure a contract with LOSC where he has had limited successs.
Lost international place
He has played only eleven times under coach Vahid Halilhodzic this campaign and has lost his place in the Denmark national squad.
