Article body
Dutch Eredivisie leaders Feyenoord will not be offering new contracts to veteran pair Igor Korneev and Jan de Visser, whose respective deals expire this summer.
Well-travelled
Former CSKA Moscow and FC Barcelona star Korneev, 34, scored 21 goals in 71 matches for Feyenoord since moving to the Rotterdam club from SC Heerenveen in 1997.
'No surprise'
De Visser, also 34, has made almost 400 appearances in Dutch football, but said: "It was no surprise for me. Feyenoord has a lot of talented young players knocking at the door, so it is time to say goodbye to the old soldiers. I’m not sure if I will continue my career, maybe I’ll quit. But I’ve already received an offer to guide some professional players."
