Panathinaikos FC's seven-game winning run ended on Saturday as they were held by Panahaiki GC.
Lacklustre performance
The visitors had the chance to claim top spot in the Ethniki Katigoria for the first time this season with leaders AEK Athens FC not playing until Sunday, but they were disappointing without in-form striker Michalis Konstantinou.
Vukcevic goes close
Around 7,000 travelling fans saw Polish forward Emmanuel Olisadebe fail to shine after being handed a rare starting place alongside Goran Vlaovic and the home side came closest to scoring when Nenad Vukcevic hit the post with a free-kick after eleven minutes.
Jarni shoots wide
Croatian wing-back Robert Jarni provided Panathinaikos' best scoring chance, shooting narrowly wide in the 26th minute. The result puts Sergio Markarian's side level on points with AEK but second on goal difference. Among the big matches on Sunday AEK host Ethnikos Asteras, third-placed Olympiakos Piraeus FC make the short trip to local rivals Ionikos, and fourth-placed FC PAOK Thessaloniki travel to Athens to face Panionios GS.
