Derry dominate
Derry, playing their fourth match in eight days, dominated the game from start to finish and took the lead after 40 minutes thanks to a Liam Coyle penalty. Within a minute of the restart, the hosts were 2-0 up after Eamonn Doherty rose well to head past Tony O'Dowd. Gareth McGlynn completed the scoring on 69 minutes to send Derry fifth in the table.
