Slovenian first division leaders NK Primorje stumbled at home while champions NK Maribor won on Sunday.

Zivila shock Primorje
NK Zivila Triglav provided one of the biggest surprises of the Slovenian season by winning 2-0 away at Primorje - a result which will give hope to all of the title-chasing sides in Slovenia.

Stunning victory
Primorje had lost just four of their last 20 games before newly-promoted Zivila came to Ajdovšcina. The strugglers showed they had no respect for the form book as Jaka Zaletel gave them the lead in the 56th minute, heading in Vedran Ivankovic's flick-on from a Bojan Jamina corner.

Finishing touch
Jamina also provided the assist for the second goal, playing in Klemen Bingo who put the match out of sight and earned Zivila three precious points as they continue to battle to maintain their top-flight status.

Joy for Maribor
Primorje are now just a point clear of second-placed NK Koper, who beat NK Publikum 1-0 on Saturday. Champions Maribor are now only two points off top spot after beating fellow title-challengers NK Olimpija Ljubljana. Djordje Indijic netted the solitary goal in the first minute, heading in Ermin Rakovic's cross.

Mozanic strikes for Korotan
Elsewhere, NK Korotan eased their relegation worries slightly with a 1-0 win at NK Šmartno, Dalibor Mozanic scoring after 39 minutes for the visitors. Meanwhile, NK Mura and NK Rudar Velenje played out a goalless draw, as did NK Gorica and NK Domzale.
