F.Y.R. Macedonia round-up: Makedonija strike late

FK Makedonija Skopje eased their relegation worries with a 1-0 win against FK Pelister on Saturday.

Decisive goal
New signing Marko Markoski, who signed from FK Rabotnicki during the winter break, scored the only goal of the game five minutes from time for the second-from-bottom side to leave them to within a point of their opponents in the Prva Fudbalska Liga.

Penalty save
Markosiki beat Pelister keeper Tome Pacovski with a shot from the left-hand side of the penalty area, but the visitors were left to rue their missed opportunities after missing a .36th-minute penalty. Makedonija keeper Nikola Karcev was the hero for the hosts, saving Draganco Dimitrovski's spot-kick.
