Former F.Y.R. Macedonia coach Gjore Jovanovski has accepted an offer to return to Turkey and former club Samsunspor.
Return journey
Jovanovski, who stepped down from his national team role last month and then took over at Prva Fudbalska Liga side FK Sloga Jugomagnat, has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Samsunspor, a club he also represented as a player. He will replace caretaker coach Hakki Bayrak, who took over first-team affairs following Yucel Uyar's resignation two weeks ago.
Relegation trouble
Samsunspor are in the relegation mire at the moment, lying third from bottom of the 1. Liga after picking up just seven wins all season. "I will do my best to help Samsunspor finish the season in the best league position possible," Jovanovski said.
Sloga slog
Sloga have already started looking for a new coach, with former Albania Under-21 and KF Shkendija coach Edmond Miha the favourite to take over from Jovanovski.
