Run in Europe
Just a day after Vjekoslav Lokica’s resignation, Blazevic accepted an offer to take the reins at the Croatian club, who reached the third round of this season's UEFA Cup. However, Osijek have endured a dismal domestic season, and lie eleventh in the Prva HNL after Saturday's 6-1 home reverse to NK Zagreb, which prompted Lokica's departure.
'I will do my best'
Blazevic, who has signed a contract which runs until the end of the season, said: "Osijek is a club with tradition, and I will come to do my best, and save them from relegation."
