Article body
A moment of magic from Kenneth Møller Pedersen lit up an otherwise drab derby encounter between FC Midtjylland and Silkeborg IF on Sunday.
Fierce free-kick
Møller Pedersen's drilled free-kick on 51 minutes gave Midtylland the Superligaen points after Silkeborg failed to seriously threaten their hosts.
Dalgas hat-trick
Odense BK continued their good start to the spring campaign by defeating AGF Åarhus 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Kasper Dalgas. The Odense striker connected with a low cross four minutes before half-time to open the scoring and doubled his side's lead five minutes after the break with his second. Irish midfielder Micky Doyle headed in from close range to reduce the deficit but Dalgas has the last laugh when he bundled in his third to seal the victory.
Five stars
Esbjerg fB overwhelmed Lyngby FC as five different players got on the scoresheet. Hans Henrik Andreasen headed the first on just after the half-hour mark and goals from Swedish defender Christian Karlsson and captain Jess Thorup quickly followed. Martin Heinze made it 4-0 before Simon Karkov marked his return from injury with the fifth goal 17 minutes from the final whistle.
Late leveller
Danish international Peter Madsen saved a point for Brøndby IF four minutes into injury time in their 2-2 draw with Viborg FF. Søren Frederiksen thought he had won the game with his first-half double either side of Rafal Niznik's 29th-minute effort. But Madsen swept home Thomas Lindrup's cross with just seconds remaining for a share of the spoils.
Capital gain
FC København got their first victory of the spring season as they came from behind to beat Vejle BK 3-1. The capital side started badly when goalkeeper Magnus Kihlstedt failed to handle Alex Nørlund's long-range strike three minutes into the game. But after Sibusiso Zuma's 55th-minute equaliser, goals from Todi Jónsson and Morten Poulsen completed a great recovery.
