Armenian champions FC Pyunik have made history by becoming the country’s first club to buy their own stadium.
Capacity extension
Pyunik bought Nairi stadium in the capital Yerevan, and have plans to rebuild and modernise it. The club plan to extend the capacity of Nairi from its current non-seating 5,000 to 15,000 and make it solely a football stadium.
Summer start
Work is due to start in the summer. As well as the football facilities, a hotel, training fields and pool will be built into the complex.
