Hamburger SV striker Roy Präger is to return to VfL Wolfsburg at the end of the season.

Champions League highlight
A Wolfsburg player between 1995 and 1999, Präger left the club for Hamburg on a free transfer, but "family reasons" have prompted a move back to the VfL-Stadion. "The decision has been anything but easy for me," he said. "It has been great for me in Hamburg, and the highlight was taking part in the [UEFA] Champions League."

Bundesliga meeting
Präger will feature against Wolfsburg when the two clubs meet in the 1. Bundesliga on Saturday. "Roy will play from the beginning, no doubt!" said Hamburg coach Kurt Jara.

International matches
Meanwhile, two of Präger's Hamburg team-mates, Raphael Wicky and Sergej Barbarez, have been called into their national squads for friendly internationals on 27 March. Wicky will play for Switzerland against Sweden in Malmö, while Barbarez lines up for Bosnia-Herzegovina at home to F.Y.R. Macedonia.
