FK Partizan and FK Crvena Zvezda kept up the heat at the top of the Prva Savezna Liga.

FK Partizan and FK Crvena Zvezda kept up the heat at the top of the Prva Savezna Liga today.

Belgrade rivals win
Partizan, who have only lost once all season, maintained their nine-point lead over their city neighbours after recording a 3-0 home victory over FK Rudar Plevlja this afternoon, while Crvena Zvezda stayed in touch with a narrow 1-0 success at FK Zvezdara.

Partizan take control
After a shaky opening which saw Rudar take the initiative, Partizan imposed themselves and took the lead through Danko Lazovic's close-range effort after 36 minutes. The home side were two-up three minutes after half-time as Nenad Miskovic hit a rocket-like shot into the top right-hand corner from the edge of the box and Sasa Ilic wrapped up the win with a header which went in off the post in the 67th minute.

Narrow win for Crvena Zvezda
Crvena Zvezda had a tougher time at Zvezdara but came away with the points thanks to Marjan Markovic's 34th-minute lob from 18 metres.

Winning start for Zivadinovic
New FK Obilic coach Milan Zivadinovic tasted victory in his first match on the bench after the third-placed side secured a 1-0 home victory over FK Cukaricki. Nikola Vujosevic scored the game's only goal, heading in superbly from a right-wing cross to seal all three points but Obilic remain six points adrift of Crvena Zvezda.

Sartid maintain pressure
Fourth-placed FK Sartid kept the pressure on Obilic with a 2-0 away victory at FK Vojvodina. Second-half goals from Nenad Mirosavljevic and Damir Ramovic secured the points for the visitors after a disappointing first half for both sides.

Debut joy for Stasevic
It was a mixed day for new coaches with FK Radnicki Kragujevac's new man at the helm, Slobodan Stasevic, enjoying a 3-1 home win over FK Zeta, while the new boss at basement club FK Mladost Apatin, Zeljko Racic, watched his team beaten 4-0 at FK Hajduk Rodic. In the day's other games FK Sutjeska defeated FK Zeleznik 2-1 at home, while FK Mladost Lucani enjoyed victory by the same scoreline against FK Zemun.
