Versatile defender
Jónsson will primarily be used in a defensive role at the club, but he can also play both as a midfield player and as a forward. "I'll play wherever the manager wants me to," he said. Last season in the Urvalsdeild Jónsson played mainly as a left full-back, but during the pre-season for Keflavík he was switched to the centre of defence.
