FC Sheriff Tiraspol remain top of the table in Moldova after a 5-0 win today.

Sheriff in command
Sheriff routed their local rivals FC Tiligul Tiraspol 5-0 to maintain their position at the Divizia Nationala summit. The league leaders, who are yet to lose after 16 league games, outplayed their mid-table opponents, powering into a four-goal lead by half-time.

Two doubles
Evghenii Patula set the visitors on their way, netting twice inside the first ten minutes. Roberto Brown notched another double for Sheriff, scoring his first after 24 minutes and then hitting a second just five minutes later. The beleaguered hosts managed to limit Sheriff to just one more goal, Ruslan Barburos scoring the fifth after 69 minutes.

Sad end for Happy End
Sheriff remain in top spot and are seven points clear of FC Zimbru Chisinau, who also picked up three points today with a 3-0 away win at FC Happy End Camenca. Victor Berco put Zimbru ahead after 17 minutes and a late second-half double from Viorel Frunze capped a comfortable win.

All square in Chisinau
Elsewhere, FC Agro Chisinau held FC Nistru Otaci to a goalless draw but remain rooted to the foot of the table while FC Constructorul-93 Chisinau and FC Hincesti shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Eduard Blanuta put the visitors ahead after 65 minutes but that strike was cancelled out by Vladimir Tanurcov's 89th-minute leveller.
