FC Zimbru Chisinau closed the gap on Divizia Nationala leaders FC Sheriff Tiraspol with a 1-0 win over FC Agro Chisinau on Sunday.
Seven-point lead
Anatoly Stavila scored after only six minutes but Zimbru, who are currently second, were unable to add to their score against the league's bottom club. Runaway leaders Sheriff were held to a scoreless draw by FC Nistru Otaci but still hold a seven-point lead at the top of the table.
Hincesti held
In Sunday's other matches, FC Hîncesti and FC Tiligul Tiraspol drew 1-1, while FC Constructorul-93 Chisinau overcame FC Happy End Camenca. Vladimir Iudin put Tiligul in front in the 70th minute, but Hîncesti struck back four minutes later through Alexandru Doros. Alexandru Fasola was the hero for Consructorul, scoring the only goal of the game in Camenca.
