FK Zeljeznicar increased their lead at the top of the Bosnia-Herzegovnian Premier League to seven points with a 2-0 home win over struggling NK Jedinstvo on Saturday.

Alihodzic on target
The hosts were rarely troubled after Haris Alihodzic opened the scoring with just eight minutes gone and Ivica Huljev tied up the result four minutes before half-time.

Brasnic double
NK Orašje kept their title hopes alive with an impressive 3-0 win over NK Posušje. The home side were frustrated in the first half but finally broke the deadlock when Ivo Pejic converted a penalty after 50 minutes. A late double from Velimijr Brasnic completed a deserved triumph that leaves Orašje nine points behind Zeljeznicar.

Smajic the hero
Edin Smajic hit the only goal as NK Iskra boosted their battle for survival with a 1-0 win over NK Celik. Smajic scored on the stroke of half-time to lift his side three points off the foot of the table and leave Celik in trouble.

Sarajevo surprised
Two first-half goals condemned FK Sarajevo to a surprising 2-0 defeat at FK Sloboda Tuzla. Niko Tomic put the home side ahead inside the opening minute and, with half-time approaching, Adnan Sarjilic doubled their advantage. Sarajevo battled to get back into the match but were repeatedly repelled by a solid defensive display from Tuzla.

Defeat for Brotnjo
NK Brotnjo also crashed to an unlikely defeat as FK Velez ground out a 2-0 win. Brotnjo had hoped to keep up the pressure at the top of the league but the home side were ahead on seven minutes through Nedzad Serdarevic. The visitors dominated for long periods but were caught out again when Nedim Jusufbegovic added a second on 52 minutes to seal the three points.
