Velenje victorious
In the day's other game, NK Rudar Velenje closed the gap on fourth-placed opponents NK Olimpija Ljubljana with a 2-0 victory. Two goals in five minutes before half-time secured the win for the home side. Klemen Lavric opened the scoring in the 39th minute with a powerful header following good work from Roman Plesec. Rudar doubled their advantage in the 44th minute as Lavric burst away on the counter-attack before slipping the ball through for Goran Jolic to score.
