PFC Levski Sofia have confirmed the dismissal of German coach Rüdiger Abramczik.
Contract terminated
"Today the club's executive committee terminated Abramczik's contract after he failed to meet its requirements for changing the team," club spokesman Konstantin Petkov said.
Muslin reports
Slavoljub Muslin, formerly coach of Yugoslavian side FK Crvena Zvezda, has been lined up as Abramczik's replacement. "The club expects to sign a contract with Slavoljub Muslin on Monday," Petkov added.
Seven points clear
On Monday, the Bulgarian club claimed to have sacked Abramczik despite achieving five wins and two draws to extend their lead at the top of Bulgaria's A PFG. But, after an eight-hour meeting on Tuesday, it emerged he had not officially left the club.
Board not satisfied
Levski are seven points clear of nearest rivals FC CSKA Sofia with 56 points with all sides having played 23 matches. Despite the good run of results, the club's board of directors claimed they were not satisfied with the team's recent performances. These included the narrow victory over strugglers PFC Belasitsa and last weekend's draw away at PFC Marek.
