Legia Warszawa moved six points clear at the top of the Polish Ekstraklasa championship group after clinching a 2-1 home victory over KS Ruch Chorzów.

Fine comeback
Legia, who have yet to lose a match in the second half of the season, fell behind to a Marek Suker goal on 38 minutes. But the league leaders rallied impressively, pulling level through Sylwester Czereszewski seven minutes after half-time. Tomasz Kielbowicz completed a fine comeback with the winning goal nine minutes from time to send the 8,000 crowd home happy. Meanwhile KP Polonia Warszawa slipped off the pace after they were held to a goalless draw against GKS Katowice.

Tight game
In the other championship group game Pogon Szczecin took the points with a 2-1 win in a tightly-contested tie at home to Odra Wodzislaw. Dariusz Dzwigala opened the scoring from the penalty spot after five minutes and Robert Dymkowski made it 2-0 ten minutes into the second half. Michal Chalbinski hit a 72nd-minute consolation for the visitors.

Relegation group
In the relegation group, Widzew Lódz missed out on the chance to take top spot after being held to a scoreless draw at Stomil Olsztyn. Leaders Zaglebie Lubin needed a late equaliser to salvage a point in a 2-2 draw at KSZO Ostrowiec. In the remaining game Slask Wroclaw went down 2-0 at home to KS Groclin-Dyskobolia Grodzisk.
