Galatasaray SK moved to the top of the 1. Lig with a 2-1 win against Bursaspor on Saturday.

Galatasaray strike back
The visitors drew first blood, shocking the Istanbul giants with just four minutes on the clock. Murat Hacioglu's long pass found Süleyman Fatih Sen, who beat Faryd Mondragon with a low shot. The home side were given a chance to hit back when Serdar Kulbige was penalised for a foul on Gustavo Victoria inside the box and Berkant Göktan made the most of it by stroking the penalty inot the net for a 37th-minute equaliser.

Hasan hits home
With 51 minutes gone, Galatasaray went ahead, Hasan Sas' cross catching out the Bursaspor defence and giving Arif Erdem the opportunity to score. The visitors could find no response and went home empty-handed.

Denizlispor triumph
Denizlispor leapfrogged Trabzonspor in the table by coming from behind to claim a 2-1 home win in a rain-soaked game. Osman Özköylü's third-minute header from Hami Mandirali's corner kick gave Trabzonspor an early advantage but the hosts went in level at half-time, thanks to another header in the 44th minute, this time courtesy of Timuçin Beyazit. Ilyas Kahraman set him up, taking delivery of a throw-in and picking out Timuçin with a cross.

Cihan on target
The decisive moment came in the 67th minute. Kahraman found Timuçin near the corner flag with a long pass and the scorer of the first goal set up Veysel Cihan to hit the second with a sweet volley.

No goals for Samsunspor
Samsunspor were unable to find a way past the visiting Kocaelispor defence and had to settle for a goalless draw and a point. It was a wasted opportunity for the hosts, who could have hauled themselves out of the relegation zone if they had won.

Joy for Yozgatspor
Bottom club Yozgatspor sprung a surprise by beating mid-table Diyarbakirspor 2-0. Yaw Preko provided the key, netting two late goals for the strugglers. His first came after 82 minutes, when he took a through-ball from Selim Özer and beat the onrushing Senol Karagut. He sealed the win in injury time, converting a penalty awarded for handball against Ömer Erdogan.
