FC Tirol Innsbruck extended their lead at the top of the table after a draw at SV Austria Salzburg.

Austrian Bundesliga champions-elect FC Tirol Innsbruck extended their lead at the top of the table to 18 points after a 1-1 draw at SV Austria Salzburg today.

The visitors, who took an 18th-minute lead through Jerzy Brzeczek, appeared to be heading towards their 20th win of the season, but Heimo Pfeifenberger levelled a minute after half-time.

Shock Sturm loss
Second-placed SK Sturm Graz lost ground on the leaders following a 3-0 defeat at FK Austria Wien. Goals from Paul Scharner and Christian Mayrleb gave the hosts a commanding half-time lead and Roland Linz capped an excellent team display with the third eleven minutes from full time.

Admira lose again
Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz won 2-0 at VfB Admira Wacker Mödling thanks to goals from Robert Golemac and Hendrik Jan Regtop to ease their relegation fears. Admira, on the other hand, remain rooted to the bottom of the table.

Kärnten win
In the day's other game, FC Kärnten beat SV Reid 2-1. The hosts stormed into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Klaus Rohseano and Christian Sablatnig, with Manuel Ortlechner's late effort proving nothing more than a consolation.
