Rosenborg turn to Hareide

Aage Hareide will take over as Rosenborg BK coach when Nils Arne Eggen steps down later this year.

Aage Hareide will take over as Rosenborg BK coach when Nils Arne Eggen steps down at the end of the year.

Three-year contract
Hareide resigned as coach of Brøndby IF on Monday despite the fact they lead the Danish Superleague with just six matches remaining. Immediately after his resignation Hareide was contacted by Rosenborg sports director Rune Bratseth and the parties agreed on a three-year contract.

'A tough job'
"I had hardly left Brøndby before Bratseth contacted me and this morning I finally made my decision," said Hareide. "It will be a very tough job and I have everything to loose but I am definitely not afraid." Rosenborg have won ten successive Norwegian titles but made a losing start to the new season last week when they went down 1-0 at home to Odds BK.
