Spurs complete Redknapp deal

Tottenham Hotspur FC have completed the signing of former England international midfield player Jamie Redknapp.

Player released
Liverpool released the 28-year-old from his contract earlier today - bringing to an end an Anfield career stretching back to January 1991.

Swift move
The north London club moved swiftly to capture Redknapp on a free transfer tonight. Redknapp, whose appearances have been severely limited in recent years by injury, joins the White Hart Lane side on a four-year deal.

An announcement on Spurs' official website read: "Tottenham Hotspur plc is pleased to announce that agreement has been reached with Jamie Redknapp for the transfer of his registration to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club under a four-year contract."

Over 300 games
Redknapp joined Liverpool from AFC Bournemouth in 1991 and played 308 games for the club, scoring 41 goals.
