Qusar's absence will reduce the number of teams in the league to six after they denounced the activities of the AFFA.

'Stay together'
Club president Beibala Mamedov said he had no second thoughts when it came to joining the current exodus. "We will not play in the cup and league until AFFA officials, headed by president Fuad Musayev, quit," Mamedov said. "We are joining the clubs who have boycotted the league, and we will stay together."

Allegations 'unsubstantiated'
Earlier, the AFFA dismissed allegations of double standards towards some clubs in the league. "The allegations against us are totally unsubstantiated," Torgul Gajiev, the vice-president of the AFFA said.
