Livingston FC edged closer to a UEFA Cup place today by winning 2-1 against Rangers FC.
Even at half-time
Lorenzo Amoruso gave the Ibrox side the lead in the fourth minute at Almondvale after a corner from Andrei Kanchelskis but Barry Wilson's 15-metre drive three minutes before half-time beat goalkeeper Stefan Klos to pull Jim Leishman's side level.
Lovell lifts Livingston
The home side grabbed all three points when substitute Stuart Lovell scored a with an acrobatic bicycle-kick on 87 minutes to secure a famous win for the side who were only founded seven years ago. Livingston remain in fourth place on goal difference behind Aberdeen FC who could have secured their UEFA Cup place for next season with a win against Heart of Midlothian FC.
No joy for Aberdeen
However, two goals in the final three minutes for the Tynecastle side earned Hearts the win. Andy Tod put Hearts ahead after only three minutes, but Kevin Rutkiewicz equalised in eight minutes and Robbie Winters scored the Dons' second with just eleven minutes left on the clock.
Late double
Frenchman Stéphane Mahe then equalised in 87 minutes before Canadian international Kevin McKenna scored the dramatic clincher to give his side a 3-2 win and take them into fifth place in the table and in the hunt for the final UEFA Cup place.
Celtic rampant
Champions Celtic FC edged one game closer to a league record with a comprehensive 5-0 win against Dunfermline Athletic FC. John Hartson started the rout with his 22nd goal of the season in 18 minutes and captain Paul Lambert doubled his side's lead five minutes before half-time.
100-point target
Jamie Smith's 58th-minute goal and a second from Hartson in 70 minutes knocked the stuffing out of Dunfermline. Momo Sylla's first league goal for Celtic in 76 minutes completed the scoring and took Celtic to 96 points. They have three games left to try and smash through 100-point barrier for the first time after ending last season a point short of the magical figure.
New record
Celtic have won all 18 of their league games at Celtic Park this season and if they can beat Rangers on 21 April they will end the season undefeated at home and create a new club record.
N'Gonge on target
Congo international Michel N'Gonge scored the only goal of the game for Kilmarnock FC after eleven minutes against Hibernian FC while Dundee United striker Steven Thompson did his chances of starting for Scotland in midweek against Nigeria no harm with the only goal of the game against Motherwell FC.
Partick win promotion
Relegated Saint Johnstone FC slumped to their 25th defeat in 35 league games in their match against Dundee FC. One goal from Steven Milne ten minutes from time was enough to defeat the Saints who will be replaced by Partick Thistle FC, who confirmed their first division title with a 2-0 win today.
