Omonia FC coach Andreas Mouskallis has resigned after only 168 days at the Cypriot club.
Steady turnaround
A former coach of Nea Salamis FC, Apollon Limassol FC and Anorthosis Famagusta FC, Mouskallis had presided over a steady turnaround in Omonia's fortunes after replacing the sacked Belgian Henk Houwart.
Fourth-placed finish
Omonia finished the season in fourth place, but their improved showing in the second half of the season was not enough to tempt Mouskallis to stay at the Makarion Athletic Centre.
'I feel bitter'
"I announced my decision to leave the club to the players in the changing rooms," he said. "I feel bitter at the way we didn't succeed from our efforts but that's football and we can't expect miracles all the time."
