Bak could miss title decider

RC Lens full-back Jacek Bak could miss the final-day showdown against his old club Olympique Lyonnais after breaking his thumb before Poland's home friendly against Romania.

Injured in warm-up
The Polish international suffered the injury in the warm-up before Wednesday's match and is definitely out of the French league leaders' penultimate game of the season, against En Avant Guingamp next week.

Joined from Lyon
Lens lead Le Championnat by a single point from Lyon with two matches to go which means their meeting in a fortnight's time could well decide the destination of the title. Ironically, it was from Lyon that Bak joined Lens on loan at the end of December, after having limited first-team opportunities at the Gerland stadium.

Sikory takes over
He has become a first-team regular at Lens but Eric Sikory will now take over at left-back in his absence. The 28-year-old Bak, who will be part of Poland's FIFA World Cup party, has already signed a deal with Lens for next season.
