NK Maribor underlined their title credentials with a 7-1 win on Saturday.
Maribor pound Zivila
The league leaders made short work of NK Zivila Triglav, racing into a 4-0 lead by half-time. Samir Duro helped himself to two goals with Ermin Rakovic and Dejan Djuranovic also finding the net. Damir Pekic scored two in the second half, with Rakovic also scoring his second of the game in between. Sasa Kostic struck what was a scant consolation for his side with three minutes remaining.
Koper triumph
NK Koper were not as prolific but earned the same number of points as Maribor, beating NK Mura 2-1. Mura took the lead four minutes before half-time as Sebastijan Vogrincic was left all alone in the box to score. The home side levelled before the break when Saudin Huseinovic scored and Patrik Ipavec scored a winner five minutes from time.
Rudar overcome Gorica
Finally, NK Rudar Velenje made it a clean sweep for the home sides today with a 3-2 victory over NK Gorica. Ales Pus put Gorica into the lead on the stroke of half-time but Klemen Lavric equalised five minutes after the restart. Alen Mujanovic scored twice in three minutes to give his side breathing space but Jovisa Kraljevic's own goal five minutes from time ensured a nervy final few minutes for his side.
