NK Olimpija Ljubljana kept themselves in the Slovenian title race with a 3-1 win over NK Šmartno on Sunday.
Sculac opener
Alen Sculac put Olimpija in front after only seven minutes, but they failed to add to their lead until the second half when Franc Fridl and Senad Tiganj made the game safe. Nedzad Alibabic pulled one back for Era Smartno. Third-placed Olimpija now trail leaders NK Maribor by five points.
Domzale thrashed
Elsewhere, NK Primorje thrashed rock-bottom NK Domzale 5-0 with all the goals coming in the last half hour. Robert Milos scored twice while Sasa Ranic, Uros Barut and Tomaz Znidercic also got on the scoresheet.
Five-star display
NK Publikum also put on a five-star display as they sank NK Korotan 5-1. An Andrej Kvas hat-trick capped the display with Samo Vidovic scoring the other two. Goran Benovic had earlier levelled the scores at 1-1.
