An Ismet Ekmecic hat-trick led NK Gorica to victory in a five-goal thriller against rock-bottom NK Domzale today in the 1. SNL.
Hat-trick hero
Ekmecic put Gorica in front after 18 minutes, only to see Edis Causevic equalise on the half-hour mark. Seven minutes later, however, Ekmecic had restored the lead that the visitors held into the break. Nenad Protega drew Domzale level again in the 61st-minute from the penalty spot, but Ekmecic had the final word, completing his hat-trick in the 71st minute.
Maribor held
The league leaders NK Maribor went four points clear at the top of the Slovenian first division after dropping two points in a goalless draw with NK Šmartno.
Vital Zivila win
NK Zivila Triglav overcame fellow relegation-strugglers NK Korotan 2-1. Ales Mejac and Dejan Robnik gave them a two-goal lead, before Selvad Kujovic scrambled a late consolation goal for Korotan.
