NK Maribor need only one more point to secure the 1. SNL title after an emphatic 5-0 derby victory over NK Olimpija Ljubljana.

Outstanding win
Barnabas Stzipanovics converted Miha Golob's seventh-minute pass to open the scoring, and Damir Pekic's 31st-minute goal and Samir Duro's 44th-minute spot-kick saw the game wrapped up by half-time. Duro scored his second on 64 minutes, before Damir Pekic sealed an outstanding win with a fifth after 74 minutes.

Primorje go second
NK Primorje moved into second place in the table with a 2-0 home win over NK Koper. Goals from Simon Gregoric (58 minutes) and Matej Mlakar (73) were enough to seal the points. With just two more rounds left to play after today, Koper's slip may not only cost them the title, but the chance of European football next season with only the runners-up guaranteed a place in the UEFA Cup qualifying round.

Gorica come from behind
Elsewhere, NK Gorica came from behind to beat NK Mura 3-1. Vladimir Kozulj put the visitors ahead in the 17th minute before Admir Krsic levelled six minutes before the break. Second-half strikes from Darko Kremenovic (82) and Ismet Ekmecic (90) wrapped up the points.

Rare victory
Bottom-placed NK Domzale snatched a rare victory at NK Korotan thanks to Marko Kmetec's 49th-minute winner, leaving the hosts in deep trouble after second-bottom NK Zivila Triglav won 4-1 at NK Rudar Velenje to move above them. Alen Mujanovic put the hosts ahead in the 16th minute but Roman Plesec (20) and Gregor Feigel (40) gave the strugglers the upper hand at half-time. They did not waste their advantage either, adding goals through Bojan Jamina (87) and (90) in the second half.

Publikum win
In the day's final game, goals from Samo Vidovic, Robert Koren, Andrej Kvas and Dragan Cadikovski gave NK Publikum a 4-0 victory at home to NK Šmartno.
