FC København closed the gap at the top in Denmark after leaders Brøndby IF were held by Vejle BK.

Jan Sønksen scored Vejle BK's first goal in 445 minutes to earn them a point as they drew 1-1 with the league leaders Brøndby IF.

Spirited someback
Sønksen's header two minutes from time was just reward for a spirited comeback after a lacklustre Brøndby had taken the lead through Ruben Bagger. In the 65th minute Mads Jørgensen laid on the cross for Bagger who drilled the ball past a helpless Jesper Christiansen.

København close the gap
FC København made the most of Brøndby's slip to close the gap to seven points as they crushed fourth-placed Odense BK 4-0. Sibusiso Zuma, Thomas Røll Larsen, Erik Mykland and an own-goal from Torben Sangild completed the rout.

Aalborg stay third
Aalborg BK stay third after Mikkel Beck scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win against Esbjerg fB. Meanwhile, Nicki Kristensen earned Silkeborg IF a point with a goal three minutes from time, after Lars Larsen had put Akademisk Boldklub in front direct from a corner - the game finished 1-1.

Lyngby swamped
Viborg FF swamped Lyngby FC 5-1 with Thomas Frandsen helping himself to a hat-trick. Søren Frederiksen scored Viborg's other two while Christian Ulrik Hansen pulled one back for Lyngby.

Battling performance
AGF Århus put on a battling performance for their new coach Hans Petersen but still lost 3-2 to FC Midtjylland. Anders Nielsen put the home side in front but Razak Pimpong equalised just before the break. Thomas Thomasberg restored the lead but goals from Anders Bjerre and Søren Skriver secured the win for the visitors.
